About CAMT
The Center for Arts Management and Technology (CAMT) is an applied research center at the H. John Heinz III School of Public Policy and Management, Carnegie Mellon, that investigates ways technology can improve and enhance the practice of arts management and, when appropriate, develops technology solutions that meet critical needs in the field.
CAMT was officially formed in 1996 as a research project of the Institute for the Management of Creative Enterprises. Working to achieve our mission are five dedicated full-time staff members, who have impressive work and education experience combining performing/visual arts disciplines, management and information systems development.
Our unique position at the heart of Carnegie Mellon University, one of the most technologically advanced universities in the world, and our close connection with the Master of Arts Management program allow us to capitalize on the latest technology advancements while staying closely connected to the needs of the artistic community. Since its inception, CAMT has established a reputation for providing a wide range of services to the arts field, including online grant applications, artist rosters, arts job banks and online class registration systems.
